Minors-Description
Minor League Baseball
The Minor League division is a more structured and intensive level of organized competitive baseball. Players pitch in this league with continuous batting orders and required substitutions. Players may pitch a maximum of six innings per week. Games are played against the neighboring town of Holbrook at the Crowley and Sumner complexes. Games are typically six innings (maximum of two hours) and played two times per week with practices scheduled based on field availability. Make-up games are occasionally required. Hardballs are used. Note: A high level of commitment is expected at the Minor League level. Ages: 10 to 12 years old (as of 4/30/09). 9-year old players may be included in this league to fill a limited number of roster spots. Tryout – Yes Skills Assessment – The Skills Assessment is for 9-year-old players who wish to be considered for the Minor League. Player safety must be considered.
